Ring Size Guide

Finding the right ring size ensures comfort and elegance. Use our chart below or visit our store where our experts will measure your finger precisely.

Pro Tip Fingers change size throughout the day — they're slightly larger in the evening and during warm weather. Measure in the evening for the most accurate fit, and always measure the finger you intend to wear the ring on.

Necklace & Chain Length Guide

The right necklace length depends on your neckline, body type, and personal style. Use our guide to choose the most flattering fit.

Bridal Recommendation For bridal sets worn with a saree, a princess length (18") necklace paired with a matinee length (20") second layer creates the most elegant traditional look. Our stylists at Tiarra can help you layer necklaces beautifully.
01

Measure Yourself

Use a soft measuring tape and hold it loosely around your neck where you want the necklace to fall. Note the measurement in inches or cm.

02

Pendant Chains

For pendant necklaces, the pendant itself adds visual length. A shorter chain (16") with a long pendant can equal the effect of an 18–20" plain chain.

03

Mangalsutra Length

Traditional mangalsutras typically range from 18–24 inches. Longer lengths (24"+) are preferred for saree wear; shorter for daily use with salwar kameez.

Bangle & Bracelet Size Guide

How to Measure Your Bangle Size

Hold your four fingers together and tuck your thumb underneath to form the tightest possible fist. Use a measuring tape to measure the width across the widest knuckle.

Convert the measurement to millimetres and match it to the inner diameter column. When between sizes, always go one size up for comfort.

Bracelet vs Bangle Bangles are rigid and sized by inner diameter. Bracelets are flexible and sized by wrist circumference — add 1.5–2 cm to your wrist measurement for a comfortable bracelet fit.

Saree Sizing

Silk Saree Length Guide

Saree sizing involves total length, blouse fabric, and draping style. Our guide covers everything you need to choose the right saree for your height and occasion.

Standard Saree Lengths

By Occasion

Most sarees come in 5.5m or 6m lengths. The right length depends on your height and how you drape it.

  • Daily Wear 5.5 metres
  • Casual / Festive 5.5 – 6 metres
  • Bridal Saree 6 – 6.5 metres
  • With Blouse Piece +0.8 metres
  • Petticoat Fabric 1 metre (separate)

Saree by Height

Recommendations

Your height determines how much saree length you need to drape comfortably with the right pleats and pallu.

  • Below 5'0" 5 – 5.5 metres
  • 5'0" – 5'4" 5.5 metres
  • 5'4" – 5'7" 5.5 – 6 metres
  • Above 5'7" 6 – 6.5 metres
  • Lehenga Saree Style 6.5 – 7 metres

Blouse Size Guide

Standard Measurements

Blouse pieces are usually 0.8–1 metre. For a custom-fitted blouse, share these measurements with your tailor:

  • Bust (around fullest point) measure in inches
  • Waist measure in inches
  • Shoulder Width measure in inches
  • Sleeve Length elbow or full
  • Back Length neck to waist

Kanjivaram Drape Guide

Traditional Style

Kanjivaram sarees are heavier than chiffon or georgette. Draping tips for the traditional Tamil style:

  • Pleats 5 – 7 pleats, tucked at navel
  • Pallu Length 2 – 2.5 feet over shoulder
  • Petticoat match saree border colour
  • Saree Pin use at shoulder & pleats
  • Hem ankle length to floor
Our Recommendation For bridal Kanjivaram sarees, we recommend a minimum of 6.5 metres with a separate blouse piece. This allows for generous pleats, a full pallu display, and comfortable movement throughout the wedding ceremony. Visit our store in Nagercoil for a complete bridal draping consultation.

Expert Advice

Fitting Tips & FAQ

Common questions about sizing, fit, and alterations — answered by our jewellery and saree experts at Tiarra.

What if I'm between two ring sizes?
Always choose the larger size. A ring that is slightly loose is easier to resize or use a ring adjuster, while a ring that is too tight is uncomfortable and difficult to remove. For wide-band rings (above 6mm), go a half size up as they fit tighter.
Can Tiarra resize my ring after purchase?
Yes. We offer ring resizing services at our Nagercoil store for most ring styles. Gold and silver rings can typically be resized 1–2 sizes up or down. Please note that heavily engraved or eternity rings may have limited resizing options.
My fingers are different sizes — which hand should I measure?
Always measure the specific finger on the specific hand you intend to wear the ring on. The dominant hand is typically slightly larger. If you're buying an engagement ring, measure the left ring finger.
How do I know if a bangle will fit over my hand?
Cup your hand by touching your thumb and little finger together and folding your knuckles slightly — this is the minimum opening your bangle must pass through. Measure across this cupped hand in millimetres. Choose a bangle inner diameter equal to or slightly larger than this measurement.
What length saree should I buy for a bridal look?
For a full bridal Kanjivaram look with generous pleats and a flowing pallu, we recommend at minimum 6 metres. If you plan to use the Lehenga or seedha pallu draping style, 6.5–7 metres is ideal. Always add a separate blouse piece of 0.8–1 metre.
I purchased online and the size is slightly off — what should I do?
Contact us at tiarra.co.in@gmail.com or WhatsApp +91 98765 43210 within 48 hours of receiving your order. Our team will guide you on exchange options. For rings, we offer one complimentary resize within 30 days of purchase.
